Byron J. Ellis , MD
Dr. Byron Ellis is a fellowship-trained adult reconstruction surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements. He completed his fellowship at the Southern Joint Replacement Institute in Nashville. He gained extensive knowledge in regards to the full spectrum of hip and knee disorders with a focus on arthritic conditions. This includes osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, and painful previous joint replacements. His surgical training allows him to perform anterior total hip replacement; partial, total, and complex revision hip and knee replacements.
He earned a B.S. in Integrative physiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder where he played football from 2004-2008. He was named to the Big 12 all-academic team from 2005-2007. He received his M.D. from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he remained to complete his orthopedic surgery residency.
Dr. Ellis truly believes in treating patients on an individual basis to develop a care plan together that suits their needs. He also believes in treating the patient as a whole to enable them the best chance for recovering function and improving their quality of life.
He enjoys cycling, hiking, comedy, mentorship, and spending time with family and friends.
